The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b-and-c tubes are both versatile and robust, incorporating mechanical connections and a series of thermal fusion procedures. The primary connection techniques include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection. Each method ensures a secure and durable bond, providing reliable performance for various applications.

1. The pipeline should be founded on an earth arc base. For typical soil conditions, a 100mm layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on the undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, a sand-gravel base layer of at least 200mm is recommended. This can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of 100-150mm gravel with a particle size of 5-32mm, and an upper layer with a coarse sand thickness of at least 50mm. The base density must meet the standards outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the foundation's bearing capacity is below design requirements or affected by construction precipitation, the foundation must first be strengthened to meet specified bearing capacities before laying the medium-coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should not be less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must adhere to the technical regulations to ensure structural integrity.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying process. The dimensions of these grooves-length, width, and depth-should be determined based on the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, backfill with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure proper density and stability.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to pipeline load or soil changes, it is essential to reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline. This preemptive measure ensures a stable and durable pipeline installation.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, composite foundation treatment methods such as sand piles and stone piles are recommended. Rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations should be avoided to maintain the integrity and flexibility of the pipeline.
