Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes include both mechanical connections and a series of thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline must be supported by an earth arc. For typical soil conditions, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on undisturbed soil or a compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe. If the soil quality is poor, use a sand and gravel base layer at least 200mm thick, possibly in two layers: a lower layer of 100-150mm thick gravel (5-32mm particle size) and an upper layer of coarse sand no less than 50mm thick. The base density must adhere to Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or is compromised due to construction activities, the foundation must be strengthened before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting Angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should be no less than the supporting Angle 2α plus 30 degrees, with compactness adhering to technical regulations.
 

 

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated during the pipeline laying process. The groove's dimensions can be based on the pipe joint size. Once the joint is finished, backfill immediately with medium coarse sand to achieve the necessary density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to factors like pipeline load and soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced prior to pipeline installation.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, use composite methods such as sand piles and stone piles. Avoid rigid methods like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
