Installation Instructions

 

1. For the installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is imperative to employ only electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. Under no circumstances should screw connections or bonding be used. Ensure that every polyethylene pipeline connection is executed with precision using specialized tools. Refrain from using open flames for any heating during the connection process.

2. Polyethylene pipes must be connected using PE pipes and fittings that are of the same brand, material, and SDR rating to ensure compatibility. Before commencing the connection, conduct a meticulous test to verify that the quality adheres to the required standards.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, make certain that the pipe ends are immaculate. Seal the pipe openings temporarily at the end of each work session to prevent contamination. Upon completing the connection, immediately inspect the interface to ensure a secure joint.

 

4. Both before and after performing hot melt butt welding, meticulously clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth. Adhere strictly to the heating time and temperature guidelines as specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine and the associated pipes and fittings.

5. Follow the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these critical times, it is vital not to move or apply any pressure to the connecting parts to ensure a proper bond.

6. After completing the connection, it is essential to conduct a water pressure test on the pipes. Perform this crucial test within 1 hour of completing the hot-melt weld. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints prior to the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, purge any air, and then meticulously check for water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering project can only be deemed fully operational after it has successfully passed the final acceptance inspection, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the entire system.
