Installation Instructions

 

1. When installing buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is paramount to use only electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. Screw connections and bonding are strictly forbidden. Ensure that every connection is made using specialized tools designed for polyethylene water supply pipelines. Avoid using open flames for heating during the connection process to maintain safety and integrity.

2. Polyethylene pipes should be connected using PE pipes and fittings that are of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before proceeding with the connection, conduct a meticulous test to verify that the quality meets the required standards, ensuring a secure and reliable pipeline.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, make sure the pipe ends are impeccably clean. At the end of each work session, temporarily seal the pipe openings to protect the pipeline. Once the connection is completed, immediately inspect the interface to ensure its quality and integrity.

 

4. Both before and after performing hot melt butt welding, clean the heating plate thoroughly with a pristine cotton cloth. Adhere strictly to the heating time and temperature guidelines specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings to achieve optimal results.

5. Follow the recommended pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as specified by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these critical periods, it is essential not to move or apply pressure to the connecting parts to ensure a solid and lasting connection.

6. After the connection is completed, conduct a water pressure test on the pipes. Perform this test within one hour after finishing the hot-melt weld. Ensure the pipeline is secured and expose the joints before conducting the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, clear out any air, and check meticulously for water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be considered operational after it has successfully passed the final acceptance inspection, ensuring that all quality and safety standards have been met.
