Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass mechanical connections and a range of thermal fusion procedures. The primary modes include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline should be supported by an earth arc base. For typical soil types, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on the undisturbed soil foundation or on a foundation compacted with backfill below the pipe bottom. For poor soil foundations, a sand gravel base layer at least 200mm thick may be used; this can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of 100-150mm thick gravel (particle size 5-32mm) and an upper layer of coarse sand at least 50mm thick. Base density must comply with Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity does not meet design requirements, or if the foundation is disturbed due to construction precipitation, the foundation must first be strengthened. Once the required bearing capacity is achieved, the medium coarse sand foundation layer can be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the pipe's designed earth arc foundation support angle must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. This backfilling must cover an area not less than the support angle 2α plus 30, and the compactness should meet technical regulations.

3. Grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be dug simultaneously with the pipe laying. The groove's length, width, and depth should match the pipe joint size. After the joint is completed, the grooves should be immediately backfilled with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to factors such as pipeline load and ground soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before the pipeline is laid.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundation treatment, methods such as sand piles and stone piles should be used. Rigid foundation treatment methods like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations are not recommended.
