Installation Instructions

 

During the installation of the MPP power cable protection tube, selecting the correct connection method is crucial for ensuring the reliable operation of the power piping system. This section details several common connection methods for MPP power cable protection tubes, aiming to help you understand the unique characteristics and ideal application scenarios for each method.

01. Prior to installation, verify that the power supply, hydraulic oil, and heating plate of the welding machine meet the necessary welding requirements. Conduct a test run on the milling cutter oil pump switch, among others. Insert the appropriately sized slips into the rack. Adjust the heating plate to achieve the desired welding temperature, and clean its surface with soft paper or alcohol to remove any oil stains before heating.

02. Clean both ends of the pipe to remove any dirt. Position the pipe in the frame clamp, ensuring equal extension lengths on both ends. Use supports to hold the pipe outside the pipe rack at the same height as the frame's centerline. Secure the slip, insert the milling cutter, and proceed to mill the pipe.

03. Once continuous cutting is achieved at both pipe ends, release the pressure and allow the milling cutter to idle for two to three rotations. Retract the movable frame and switch off the milling cutter.

 

04. Remove the milling cutter and align the pipes at both ends. Ensure the end-face displacement does not exceed 10% of the pipe wall thickness. When closing the pipe ends, there should be no visible gap, or it should adhere to the standard of: 0.3MM (DN.<25MM); If 0.5MM (225MM400MM) does not meet the requirements, it should be milled again.

05. Upon reaching the set temperature of the heating plate, quickly position it in the rack and apply the specified pressure until the circumference at the pipe ends flares and the minimum curling height is achieved. Reduce the pressure accordingly to allow the pipe end faces to contact the heating plate, continuing to heat for the required time.

06.When the heat absorption time is met, retract the movable frame swiftly and remove the heating plate. Join the two pipe ends, ensuring the switching time is minimized and within the specified limits. Avoid excessive closing pressure to prevent the extrusion of molten material and maintain welding quality.

07.Increase the pressure to the specified level and maintain it during the cooling process. Allow natural cooling to room temperature, then release the pressure, loosen the slip, and remove the pipe, completing the welding process.
