Installation Instructions

 

1. For the installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is essential to employ electric fusion welding and hot melt butt welding techniques exclusively. Screw connections and adhesive methods are strictly forbidden. Ensure the deployment of specialized tools for each type of connection, and strictly avoid the use of open flames for heating during the process.

2. Connect polyethylene pipes using PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Prior to initiating the connection, undertake a comprehensive test to ensure the quality meets the stringent required standards.

3. While joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, make certain the pipe ends are impeccably clean. Seal the pipe openings temporarily at the end of each work session. Conduct an immediate inspection of the interface following the connection.

 

4. Thoroughly cleanse the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth both before and after performing hot melt butt welding. Adhere strictly to the heating time and temperature specifications provided by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings.

5. Rigorously follow the recommended pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as stipulated by both the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these critical periods, it is vital to refrain from moving or applying pressure to the connecting parts.

6. After completing the connection, it is crucial to carry out a water pressure test on the pipes. Initiate this test within 1 hour post hot-melt weld completion. Secure the pipeline, expose the joints, fill the pipeline with water, expel any trapped air, and then verify water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be considered operational upon passing the final acceptance inspection with flying colors.
