Installation Instructions

 

During the installation of the MPP power cable protection tube, selecting the correct connection method is crucial. Proper connection ensures the reliable operation of the power piping system. This section introduces several common methods to help you understand their characteristics and suitable application scenarios.

01. Before installation, ensure the power supply, hydraulic oil, and heating plate of the welding machine meet the requirements. Perform an empty run test on the milling cutter oil pump switch, etc. Install the slips matching the pipe specifications into the rack. Set the heating plate to the welding temperature, and clean its surface with soft paper or alcohol to remove oil stains before heating.

02. Remove dirt from both pipe ends. Place the pipe into the frame clamp ensuring equal extension lengths at both ends. Support the parts outside the pipe rack. Align the pipe with the centerline of the frame, secure the slip, and insert a milling cutter to mill the pipe.

03. Mill the pipe until continuous cutting occurs at both ends. Then, release the pressure and let the milling cutter idle for two or three rotations before retracting the movable frame and turning off the milling cutter switch.

 

04. Remove the milling cutter and close the pipe ends. Ensure the end face displacement does not exceed 10% of the pipe wall thickness. When closing, there should be no noticeable gap between the pipe faces, adhering to a gap width of: 0.3MM (DN.<25MM); If 0.5MM (225MM400MM) does not meet the requirements, it should be milled again.

05. Once the heating plate reaches the set temperature, quickly place it into the rack and apply the specified pressure until the pipe end circumference flips and the minimum curling reaches the specified height. Reduce the pressure so the pipe end contacts the heating plate, continuing to heat for the specified duration.

06.After reaching the specified heat absorption time, retract the movable frame quickly and remove the heating plate. Close the pipe ends swiftly, keeping the switching time minimal and within the specified limit. Ensure the closing pressure is not too high to prevent molten material from being squeezed out, which could lower the welding quality.

07.Increase the pressure to the specified value for cooling. After natural cooling to room temperature, release the pressure, loosen the slip, remove the pipe, and complete the welding.
