Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows, along with b and c tubes, include both mechanical connections and an array of advanced thermal fusion procedures. Key methods encompass butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline installation should commence on an earth arc base. For standard soil conditions, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand must be laid on undisturbed soil or backfilled, compacted foundations below the pipe bottom. In cases of poor soil quality, a 200mm thick sand-gravel base layer can be utilized, which may be dual-layered: the lower layer consists of gravel with particle sizes between 5-32mm and a thickness of 100-150mm, while the upper layer comprises coarse sand with a minimum thickness of 50mm. The base density should align with Table 2 standards. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity fails to meet design requirements or construction processes disturb the soil, the foundation must first be reinforced. Only after achieving the specified bearing capacity should the medium coarse sand foundation layer be established.

2. The axillary corners within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling area should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, ensuring the compactness meets technical regulations.
 

 

3. During the laying of the pipeline, grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the foundation must be excavated accordingly. The groove's length, width, and depth should match the pipe joint size, and post-joint completion, the area must be promptly backfilled with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. In sections where potential longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors like pipeline load and soil conditions, the foundation must be reinforced prior to the pipeline installation.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, methods such as sand piles, stone piles, and other composite treatments should be employed. Rigid foundation techniques like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations are not recommended.
