Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and Type B and C tubes include both mechanical connections and various thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. Pipeline Foundation: The pipeline should rest on an earth arc base. For general soil conditions, a 100mm layer of medium-coarse sand should be laid on undisturbed soil or a compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe. For poorer soil quality, a sand-gravel base layer at least 200mm thick is recommended, which can be laid in two layers: the lower layer of 5-32mm gravel at 100-150mm thickness, and the upper layer of coarse sand no less than 50mm thick. The base density must meet the requirements specified in Table 2. If the soil is soft and the foundation's bearing capacity does not meet the design criteria, or if it has been disturbed by construction activities or precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced before laying the medium-coarse sand foundation layer.

2. Backfilling: The axillary corners within the designed earth arc foundation's supporting angle must be backfilled with medium-coarse sand or gravel soil. This backfilling should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must adhere to technical regulations.

3. Socket Interface and Sleeve Connections: The grooves required for the socket interface and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying. The dimensions of these grooves (length, width, and depth) should align with the pipe joint size. After completing the joint, backfill the grooves with medium-coarse sand immediately to ensure density.

4. Uneven Settlement: For pipeline sections at risk of longitudinal uneven settlement due to factors like pipeline load and soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced before the pipeline is laid.
Foundation Treatment: Composite foundation treatment methods such as sand or stone piles should be used for polyethylene drainage pipe foundations. Rigid foundation treatment measures like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations are not recommended.
