Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes encompass both mechanical connections and an array of thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. Pipeline installation should be based on an earthen arc. For typical soil conditions, lay a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand on the undisturbed soil or compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, use a sand and gravel base no less than 200mm thick, which may be layered. The lower layer should consist of 5~32mm gravel, 100~150mm thick, and the upper layer should be coarse sand at least 50mm thick. Ensure the base density meets the requirements in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or is compromised by factors like construction precipitation, strengthen the foundation. Once the specified bearing capacity is achieved, lay the medium coarse sand foundation.

2. The axillary corners within the support angle range of the designed earthen arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel. The backfilling extent should be at least 30 degrees beyond the support angle 2α, and the compactness must adhere to technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections should be excavated during pipeline laying. The dimensions—length, width, and depth—of the groove should match the pipe joint size. Upon completing the joint, immediately backfill with medium coarse sand to the required density.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement might occur due to pipeline load or soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation of polyethylene drainage pipes, use composite treatments such as sand piles or stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
