Installation Instructions
 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows, as well as b and c tubes, encompass mechanical connections and various thermal fusion techniques. The primary connection methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be installed on an earth arc foundation. For typical soil conditions, a medium coarse sand base layer of 100mm thickness should be laid on the undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe bottom. If the soil foundation is poor, a sand-gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness should be used, laid in two layers: the lower layer consisting of 100-150mm thick gravel (5~32mm particle size), and the upper layer of coarse sand with a minimum thickness of 50mm. The base density must meet the standards specified in Table 2. For soft soil foundations where the bearing capacity is below design requirements, or if affected by construction precipitation, the original soil must be reinforced. Once the required bearing capacity is achieved, the medium coarse sand foundation layer is laid.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill range should be no less than the support angle 2α plus 30, ensuring that the backfill compactness complies with technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections should be excavated concurrently with pipeline laying. The groove dimensions-length, width, and depth-should match the pipe joint size. After joint completion, backfill with medium coarse sand should be performed immediately to ensure density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors like pipeline load and variations in ground soil, the foundation must be reinforced prior to pipeline installation.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite methods like sand piles or stone piles should be used. Rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations are not recommended.
