Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass both mechanical connections and a series of thermal fusion procedures. The primary techniques include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. For pipeline installation, the base should be formed on an earth arc. For standard soil quality, lay a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand on undisturbed soil or compacted backfill below the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, utilize a sand gravel base layer at least 200mm thick, laid in two layers if necessary. The lower layer should be 100-150mm thick gravel with a particle size of 5-32mm, while the upper layer should be coarse sand with a minimum thickness of 50mm. The base density must adhere to Table 2's requirements. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design standards or affected by construction or precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced. Only after the foundation meets the specified bearing capacity should the medium coarse sand foundation layer be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel. The backfilling area should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, and the compactness must meet the technical regulations.

3. The grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated during pipeline laying. The dimensions of these grooves should match the pipe joint size. After joint completion, backfill the area immediately with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement might occur due to pipeline load or soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, use composite methods such as sand piles or stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
