Installation Instructions

 

1. For the installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, exclusively utilize electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability. Under no circumstances should screw connections or bonding be employed, as these are not suitable for high-density polyethylene applications. Utilize specialized tools for every type of polyethylene water supply pipeline connection, and avoid the use of open flames for heating during the connection process to maintain integrity.

2. It is imperative that polyethylene pipes are connected using PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating for optimal compatibility and performance. Before commencing the connection, conduct a comprehensive test to ensure the quality meets the required standards. This pre-emptive measure guarantees a seamless and robust installation.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, ensure the pipe ends are pristinely clean to avoid contaminants that could compromise the connection. Temporarily seal pipe openings at the end of each work session to protect them from debris and inspect the interface immediately upon completing the connection for any imperfections.

 

4. Both before and after performing hot melt butt welding, meticulously clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth to remove any contaminants. Adhere strictly to the heating time and temperature guidelines specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings to achieve perfect welds.

5. Follow the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as stipulated by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. It is crucial not to move or apply pressure to the connecting parts during these periods to ensure a secure and durable bond is formed.

6. Post-connection, it is essential to conduct a water pressure test on the pipes within 1 hour after completing the hot-melt weld. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints prior to the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, purge all air, and then check for water tightness to confirm the integrity of the connections.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be deemed operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection, ensuring the entire system meets all regulatory and performance standards.
