Installation Instructions

 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass both mechanical connections and a series of thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline should be laid on an earthen arc base. For general soil conditions, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be placed on the undisturbed soil foundation or on a compacted backfill foundation. If the foundation soil is poor, a sand gravel base layer no less than 200mm thick can be used. This can also be done in two layers: the lower layer consisting of 100-150mm thick gravel with a particle size of 5-32mm, and the upper layer consisting of coarse sand no less than 50mm thick. The base density should comply with the standards in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or is compromised by construction activities such as precipitation, the original soil must be strengthened before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should be no less than the support angle 2α plus 30, with backfilling compactness adhering to technical regulations.
 

 

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying. The length, width, and depth of the groove should be determined based on the pipe joint size. After joint completion, backfill the groove immediately with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. In sections where uneven longitudinal settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors like pipeline load and soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced prior to pipeline installation.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, methods such as sand pile and stone pile composite foundation treatment should be adopted. Rigid foundation treatment measures like driven pile, concrete pad, and concrete strip foundation should not be used.
