Installation Instructions

 

The connection methods for HDPE Double-Wall Bellows with both B and C tubes encompass advanced mechanical connections as well as a sophisticated array of thermal fusion techniques. The primary connection methods include: butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline foundation must be constructed on a stable earth arc base. For standard soil conditions, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on either an undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipeline. In case of poor soil quality, a sand-gravel base layer with a minimum thickness of 200mm is recommended. This can be constructed in two layers: the lower layer consisting of 100-150mm thick gravel with a particle size of 5~32mm, and the upper layer with coarse sand no less than 50mm thick. The base density must adhere to the specifications outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations where the bearing capacity is below design requirements or compromised due to construction activities such as precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced before proceeding. Ensure the foundation meets the specified bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The supporting angle of the earth arc foundation within the pipeline's designed parameters must be backfilled with either medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill area should extend at least 30 degrees beyond the supporting angle 2α, and the backfill compactness must comply with technical regulations.
 

 

3. Grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying process. The dimensions of these grooves-length, width, and depth-should be determined based on the pipe joint size. Upon completing the joint, immediately backfill with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to load variations or soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced prior to laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite methods such as sand piles and stone piles should be employed. Avoid using rigid treatment methods like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
