Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass both mechanical connection and a series of thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should rest on an earth arc foundation. For typical soil conditions, a medium coarse sand base layer, 100mm thick, should be laid on undisturbed soil or compacted backfill beneath the pipe. For poor soil quality, a sand-gravel base layer at least 200mm thick is recommended. This can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of gravel with particle sizes from 5 to 32mm and a thickness of 100 to 150mm, and an upper layer of coarse sand with a minimum thickness of 50mm. The base density must comply with Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or disturbed due to construction precipitation, the foundation must be strengthened. Once the foundation meets the specified bearing capacity, the medium coarse sand foundation layer can be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the designed earth arc foundation's supporting angle must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel. This backfilling should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α plus 30°, ensuring the compactness meets technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections should be dug concurrently with pipeline laying. The groove dimensions—length, width, and depth—depend on the pipe joint size. Once the joint is complete, backfill the groove with medium coarse sand immediately.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundation treatment, adopt composite methods such as sand pile or stone pile. Avoid rigid methods like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
