Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes of the HDPE Double-Wall Bellows and b and c tubes are versatile, encompassing both mechanical connections and advanced thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection, ensuring diverse and reliable installation options.

1. The pipeline installation should begin with the earth arc as its base. For general soil conditions, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on the undisturbed or compacted soil foundation beneath the pipe. If the soil quality is poor, a sand gravel base layer no less than 200mm thick is recommended, which can be laid in two layers. The lower layer should consist of 5-32mm gravel, 100-150mm thick, and the upper layer should be coarse sand with a thickness of at least 50mm, ensuring compliance with Table 2's density requirements. In cases of soft soil foundations where the bearing capacity falls short of design requirements or is compromised by construction activities, the foundation must be strengthened to meet the specified bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. This backfilling should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, with the compactness adhering to technical regulation specifications.
 

 

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection on the pipeline foundation must be dug concurrently with the pipeline laying. The dimensions of these grooves should be based on the pipe joint size. Once the joint is complete, backfilling with medium coarse sand should be done immediately to ensure proper density.

4. For pipeline sections susceptible to longitudinal uneven settlement due to pipeline load or soil condition changes, foundational reinforcement is required before laying the pipeline to prevent future structural issues.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite methods such as sand piles and stone piles should be utilized. Avoid using rigid foundation methods like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations to ensure flexibility and durability.
