Installation Instructions
 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows, as well as b and c tubes, encompass both mechanical and thermal fusion techniques. The predominant methods include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline installation should be based on an earth arc. For general soil conditions, a base layer of medium coarse sand, 100mm thick, should be laid on undisturbed soil foundation or compacted backfill below the pipe's bottom. For poor soil foundation, a sand gravel base layer no less than 200mm thick may be used. This can be laid in two layers: the lower layer of 5-32mm gravel, 100-150mm thick, and the upper layer of coarse sand, no less than 50mm thick. The base density should align with Table 2's provisions. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or construction precipitation disturbs the original soil foundation, the foundation must be reinforced first. Once the foundation meets the specified bearing capacity, the medium coarse sand foundation layer is laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should extend to at least the supporting angle 2α plus 30, and the backfill compactness must comply with technical regulations.

3. Grooves at socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation need to be excavated concurrently with pipeline laying. The groove's length, width, and depth should match the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, backfill with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced prior to laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of the polyethylene drainage pipe, composite methods like sand pile or stone pile should be used. Avoid using rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
