Installation Instructions

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass advanced mechanical connection and a variety of thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline installation should begin with the establishment of an earth arc base. For general soil quality, a 100mm layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on undisturbed soil or a compacted foundation. If the soil quality is poor, a 200mm sand gravel base layer can be implemented, which can be laid in two layers: the lower layer consisting of 100-150mm gravel with a particle size of 5-32mm, and the upper layer being at least 50mm thick coarse sand. The base density must conform to Table 2. In cases of soft soil foundation where the bearing capacity is insufficient or disturbed due to construction activities or precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced to meet specified bearing capacities before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range must extend at least 30 degrees beyond the support angle 2α, ensuring compactness as per the technical regulations.

3. Grooves at the socket interface and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated simultaneously with the pipeline laying process. The dimensions of these grooves should correspond to the pipe joint size. Post-joint completion, groove density should be backfilled with medium coarse sand immediately.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to load or soil changes, foundation reinforcement is necessary prior to pipeline installation.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite foundation methods such as sand and stone piles should be employed. Avoid using rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
