Installation Instructions

The High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) double-wall bellows and B and C tubes offer versatile connection modes for seamless integration. You can employ mechanical connections and various thermal fusion techniques such as butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. Begin by ensuring the pipeline is set on a stable earth arc foundation. For standard soil conditions, lay a 100mm thick medium coarse sand base layer over the undisturbed soil or compacted backfill. If the foundation soil quality is poor, opt for a sand-gravel base layer of at least 200mm thick. This can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of 100-150mm thick gravel (5-32mm particle size) and an upper layer of coarse sand no thinner than 50mm. The base density must meet the criteria outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or compromised due to construction or precipitation, strengthen the foundation before proceeding. Once the foundation achieves the required bearing capacity, lay the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. Backfill the axillary corners within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. Ensure the backfilling covers at least the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, adhering to the compactness standards specified in the technical regulations.

3. As you lay the pipeline, concurrently dig grooves for socket and sleeve connections in the foundation. Adjust the length, width, and depth of these grooves based on the pipe joint sizes. After completing the joint, immediately backfill with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. In sections prone to longitudinal uneven settlement due to pipeline load or soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline to ensure stability.
For treating the foundations of polyethylene drainage pipes, employ composite methods such as sand or stone piles. Avoid using rigid treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
