Installation Instructions

The connection methods for the HDPE double-wall bellows, as well as for b and c tubes, encompass both mechanical connections and a series of advanced thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection. Each method ensures a robust and secure joint, tailored to meet varied application requirements.

1. The pipeline should rest on a curved earth base. For typical soil conditions, a medium coarse sand base layer of 100mm thickness should be laid on undisturbed soil or compacted backfill below the pipe's bottom. If the foundation soil is poor, a sand gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness is advisable, which can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of gravel (5-32mm particle size, 100-150mm thick) and an upper layer of coarse sand (at least 50mm thick). The base density must adhere to Table 2 specifications. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or is disturbed due to construction or precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced to meet specified bearing capacities before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should exceed the supporting angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, ensuring compliance with the technical regulations for backfilling compactness.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrent with pipeline laying. The groove dimensions (length, width, and depth) should match the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, backfill the area with medium coarse sand immediately to maintain density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement might occur due to pipeline load or ground soil variability, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline to ensure stability.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundation treatment, use composite methods like sand piles and stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations to prevent potential issues.
