Installation Instructions
 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes by Wilvida encompass both mechanical connections and a series of advanced thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection. Each technique ensures a robust and durable join, perfectly suited for various drainage system applications.

1. The pipeline foundation should be established on an earth arc. For general soil quality, a medium coarse sand base layer with a thickness of 100mm should be laid over the undisturbed soil foundation or the foundation with backfill compaction below the bottom of the pipe. For poor foundation soil quality, a sand gravel base layer not less than 200mm thick is recommended. This can be laid in two layers: the lower layer consisting of gravel with a particle size of 5~32mm and a thickness of 100~150mm, and the upper layer comprising coarse sand at least 50mm thick. The base density must comply with the provisions in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the foundation's bearing capacity is less than design requirements due to construction, precipitation, or other factors, the foundation must be strengthened first. Ensure the specified bearing capacity is met before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should not be less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees. Ensure that the backfilling compactness adheres to the technical regulations for optimal support.

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be dug concurrently with the pipeline laying. The length, width, and depth of the groove should be determined based on the pipe joint size. After completing the joint, backfill the area with medium coarse sand immediately to the specified density for stability.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors such as pipeline load and ground soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline. This precaution ensures the durability and stability of the entire drainage system.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, adopt composite foundation treatment methods such as sand piles and stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatment measures like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations, as these are not suitable for this type of pipeline installation.
