Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes include mechanical connection and a series of thermal fusion procedures. The main methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline foundation shall be based on an earth arc. For general soil quality, lay a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand on the undisturbed soil foundation or a foundation with backfill compaction below the pipe's bottom. For poor soil quality, use a sand gravel base layer not less than 200mm thick. It can be laid in two layers: the lower layer of 100~150mm thick gravel (particle size 5~32mm), and the upper layer of coarse sand not less than 50mm thick. The base density must comply with Table 2 provisions. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or affected by construction precipitation, first strengthen the foundation to reach the specified bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should be at least the supporting angle 2α plus 30. The backfilling compactness must comply with technical regulations.
 

 

3. The grooves in the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation must be dug along with the pipeline laying. The groove's length, width, and depth should match the pipe joint size. After completing the joint, immediately backfill the density with medium coarse sand.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to pipeline load and ground soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline.
For foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, adopt composite methods such as sand pile and stone pile. Avoid rigid foundation methods like driven pile, concrete pad, and concrete strip foundation.
