Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes encompass both mechanical connections and a variety of thermal fusion procedures. Core methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be laid on an earth arc foundation. For average soil conditions, a 100mm layer of medium coarse sand should be placed on the undisturbed soil or compacted backfill below the pipe base. If the soil is poor, a sand gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness can be used, which can be laid in two layers: a 100-150mm thick lower layer of 5-32mm gravel, topped with a coarse sand layer not less than 50mm thick. The base density must meet Table 2 requirements. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or is compromised due to construction activities, the foundation must be reinforced until it meets the specified bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling area should be at least the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness must comply with technical regulations.
 

 

3. Grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be excavated simultaneously with the pipeline laying. Groove dimensions should match the pipe joint size. After the joint is completed, backfill the area with medium coarse sand immediately to the required density.

4. In sections where the pipeline may experience longitudinal uneven settlement due to factors like load and soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced before pipeline installation.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundation treatment, methods such as sand piles and stone piles should be used. Rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations should be avoided.
