The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass mechanical connections and an array of thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline must be laid on an earth arc foundation. For standard soil quality, a medium coarse sand base layer, 100mm thick, should be laid on undisturbed soil or a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe. If the soil quality is poor, a sand gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness can be used. This can also be laid in two layers: the lower layer of 5~32mm gravel, with a thickness of 100~150mm, and the upper layer of coarse sand, no less than 50mm thick. The base density must comply with the specifications in Table 2. For soft soil, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or has been disturbed due to construction, precipitation, etc., the foundation must first be reinforced. After achieving the required bearing capacity, the medium coarse sand foundation layer can be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling must cover at least the supporting angle 2α plus 30 and meet the compactness requirements specified in the technical regulations.

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection within the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying. The length, width, and depth of the groove should be determined based on the pipe joint size. Upon completing the joint, the groove must be immediately backfilled with medium coarse sand to ensure density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors like pipeline load and soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, methods such as sand piles, stone piles, and other composite techniques should be employed. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
