Installation Instructions

 

1. For the installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is imperative to exclusively employ electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. The use of screw connections and bonding is strictly prohibited. Ensure that each type of polyethylene water supply pipeline connection is executed with specialized tools. Avoid utilizing open flames for heating during the connection process.

2. Polyethylene pipes must be connected using PE pipes and fittings of identical brand, material, and SDR rating. Prior to commencing the connection, conduct a comprehensive test to verify that the quality meets the required standards.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, guarantee that the pipe ends are immaculate. Temporarily seal the pipe openings at the end of each work session. Instantly inspect the interface upon completing the connection to ensure integrity.

 

4. Both before and after performing hot melt butt welding, meticulously clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth. Adhere rigorously to the heating time and temperature guidelines specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine, as well as the pipes and fittings.

5. Follow the recommended pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these periods, it is crucial not to move or apply pressure to the connecting parts to ensure a secure bond.

6. Post-connection, it is essential to carry out a water pressure test on the pipes. Perform this test within 1 hour of completing the hot melt weld. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints before conducting the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, expel any trapped air, and then verify water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be considered operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection, ensuring all connections are secure and leak-free.
