Installation Instructions
1. When installing buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, ensure the highest standards of safety and durability by exclusively using electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. Avoid the use of screw connections and bonding, as they are prohibited. Each connection of the polyethylene water supply pipeline must be executed with specialized tools designed for precision and reliability. Refrain from using open flames to avoid compromising the integrity of the pipes during the connection process.
2. To maintain consistency and quality, connect polyethylene pipes using PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before starting the connection process, conduct a rigorous test to affirm that the quality adheres strictly to the set industry standards, ensuring optimal performance and long-lasting results.
3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, maintain pristine conditions by ensuring that the pipe ends are immaculate before connection. Seal the pipe openings temporarily at the end of each work session to protect against contamination. Upon completing the connection, conduct an immediate inspection of the interface to verify the integrity of the join.
4. Prior to and following hot melt butt welding, meticulously clean the heating plate with a clean and pristine cotton cloth. Adhere to the specified heating time and temperature guidelines as provided by both the hot melt butt welding machine manufacturers and the pipe and fittings producers. This ensures a seamless and robust weld.
5. During the hot melt butt welding process, follow the exact prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. It is crucial to maintain stability during these periods by avoiding any movement or application of pressure to the connecting parts to ensure a solid and reliable weld.
6. Following the connection, conduct a rigorous water pressure test on the pipes within one hour of completing the hot-melt weld. This test is essential for validating the integrity of the connection. Ensure the pipeline is well-secured, exposing the joints before proceeding with the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, clear all air pockets, and meticulously check for water tightness to guarantee a leak-proof system.
7. The pipeline engineering project can only be considered fully operational after it successfully passes the final acceptance inspection, ensuring that all standards have been met for a safe and efficient system.
