Installation Instructions
1. For the flawless installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is essential to utilize only electric fusion welding and the hot melt docking methods. These are the gold standards in ensuring secure and reliable connections. Avoid the use of screw connections and bonding methods to maintain the integrity of the pipeline. Employ specialized tools designed for this purpose, ensuring each connection is seamless and robust. During the connection process, refrain from using open flames for heating to prevent any compromise in safety and quality.
2. Ensure that polyethylene pipes are connected with PE pipes and fittings that share the same brand, material, and SDR rating. This consistency is crucial for maintaining the integrity and performance of the pipeline. Before beginning the connection process, rigorously test to confirm that all materials meet the highest quality standards required for a durable and efficient water supply system.
3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is paramount to ensure that the pipe ends are immaculate. At the conclusion of each work session, temporarily seal the pipe openings to safeguard the cleanliness and functionality of the system. Upon completing the connection, immediately inspect the interface to ensure a perfect and secure join.
4. Prior to and following hot melt butt welding, meticulously cleanse the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth. This attention to cleanliness is integral in achieving a flawless weld. Adhere strictly to the recommended heating time and temperature guidelines provided by the manufacturers of both the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
5. During the critical phases of hot melt butt welding, observe the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. It is vital not to move or exert any pressure on the connecting parts during these periods to ensure a secure and lasting bond.
6. After the connection process, it is imperative to conduct a water pressure test on the pipes. This test should be performed within one hour after completing the hot-melt weld. Carefully secure the pipeline and expose the joints before proceeding with the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, eliminate any air pockets, and then meticulously check for water tightness to confirm integrity and functionality.
7. The pipeline engineering construction is only deemed operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection. This ensures that all aspects of the installation meet the highest standards of quality and safety, guaranteeing a reliable and efficient water supply system.
