Installation Instructions
In the intricate process of installing the MPP power cable protection tube, selecting the correct connection method is paramount. This ensures the reliable performance of your power piping system. This section delves into various widely-used connection techniques for MPP power cable protection tubes, offering detailed insights into their unique characteristics and optimal application scenarios.
01. Before beginning the installation, verify that the power supply, hydraulic oil, and heating plate of the welding machine are all meeting the necessary welding requirements. Conduct a dry run test on the milling cutter, oil pump switch, and other components. Install the appropriately sized slips into the rack. Adjust the heating plate to the required welding temperature; before heating, clean the surface of the heating plate with clean, soft paper or alcohol to remove any oil stains.
02. Clear any dirt from both ends of the pipe. Secure the pipe into the frame clamp, ensuring equal length extensions on both ends. Support the portions of the pipe extending beyond the rack with appropriate supports. Align the pipe with the centerline of the frame and secure the slips. Insert the milling cutter to mill the pipe ends.
03. Continue the milling process until continuous shavings are produced from both ends of the pipe. Remove the pressure, allowing the milling cutter to idle for two to three cycles. Retract the movable frame and switch off the milling cutter.
04. Remove the milling cutter and align the pipe ends. Inspect the end faces; the displacement should not exceed 10% of the pipe wall thickness. Upon joining the ends, ensure no noticeable gap exists between them. The gap width must comply with: 0.3mm (DN).<25MM); If 0.5MM (225MM400MM) does not meet the requirements, it should be milled again.
05. Once the heating plate reaches the set temperature, swiftly position it into the rack. Apply the designated pressure so that the pipe ends curl uniformly and achieve the specified height. Reduce the pressure to the specified value, ensuring the pipe end faces contact the heating plate, and continue heating for the required duration.
06. When the heat absorption time elapses, retract the movable frame and promptly remove the heating plate. Close the pipe ends as quickly as possible, not exceeding the allowable switching time. The closing pressure should be moderated to prevent squeezing out molten material, which can compromise welding quality.06. (Continued)
07. Increase the pressure to the stipulated value and maintain it during the cooling process. After the pipe has naturally cooled to room temperature, release the pressure, loosen the slips, and remove the pipe, completing the welding process.07. (Continued)
