3. In the process of joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, it's crucial to maintain immaculate pipe ends for a seamless and efficient connection. Protect pipe openings with temporary seals at the end of each work session to avert contamination. After completing the connection, conduct an immediate thorough inspection of the interface to ensure it is secure and devoid of defects.
5. Adhere to the precise pressure holding and cooling durations recommended by both the equipment and pipe manufacturers for hot melt butt welding. During these critical periods, ensure that no movement or additional pressure is applied to the connecting parts, as these actions are key to securing a robust and stable connection.
6. After the connection process, conducting a water pressure test within 1 hour of completing the hot-melt weld is essential to verify the pipeline's integrity and reliability. Prior to the hydrostatic test, ensure the pipeline is secured and the joints exposed. Fill the pipeline with water, expel all air, and check for water tightness, confirming the success of the connection.
7. Only upon successful passage of the final acceptance inspection can the pipeline engineering construction be considered operational. This inspection ensures that all standards and specifications are met, providing a safe and highly effective water supply system.
